Recently, a Facebook event named Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us has become an internet sensation. At this instant, 657,000 people are interested and 723,000 have signed up to attend the event.
According to Shitposting cause im in shambles and SmyleeKun, the creators of this event: “We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we Naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Let’s see them aliens.”
For all of you half-wits, Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja, is a Japanese manga character and the naruto run looks like this –
Area 51, a centre for innumerous conspiracy theories on alien life, first featured in 1996 in the file Independence Day as an alien testing facility. It was formally recognized as a military base in 2003 after the 2005 Freedom of Information Act request, but the base’s real primary function remains yet unknown. Should everything go planned, almost half a million strangers will gather at the Area 51 Alien Centre, Nevada on 20th September and invade the heavily guarded Area 51 putting their lives at risk because it worth it to “see them aliens”.

Till now there has been no comment from the US government on the protocols and defence strategies laid in for the due date. Everyone is just waiting, especially the US government for the 20th September to see what happens. This event is going to be the best highlight of 2019.
It is clear to me and as well as many others that this event was created just as a joke. Area 51 is a heavily guarded military base and raiding it is equivalent of committing suicide not only because of the advanced weaponry of the US army but also of the desert terrain and heat. This troll is hilarious but if taken seriously could cause panic and severe casualties like the ‘Alien Invasion’ radio broadcast 80 years ago where Orson Welles dramatised H.G. Wells science-fiction classic, “The War of the Worlds,” and announced Martian attack on New Jersey. This spread terror through the US and so could this current event if not taken as a joke. This could provide an accurate example of a satirical event gone wrong.
